Identification Requirements

Before we can notarize your document, please present one of the following valid forms of ID:

  • U.S. Passport or Passport Card

  • Certificate of U.S. Citizenship or Naturalization

  • Foreign Passport

  • U.S. Green Card with Photograph

  • State Issued Driver’s License or Identification Card

  • U.S. Military Identification Card

  • Personal acquaintance (subject to specific criteria)

AVAILABILITY

Our services are available by appointment, ensuring flexibility to suit your schedule, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Appointment Preparation Tips

  • Do not sign or date documents before the notarization appointment.

  • Ensure you have all document(s) pages, not just the signature page.

  • All signers must present an acceptable form of identification.

FLEXIBLE NOTARY SERVICES

  • Traditional Notary - We come to you, offering notarizations at your location of choice.

  • Remote Online Notary (RON) - Get secure and convenient notarizations from the comfort of your home or office.

  • In-Person Electronic Notarization (IPEN) - Combine electronic records with in-person notarization, offering a modern and secure alternative to traditional notarization.

IMPORTANT NOTARY LIMITATIONS

Virginia notaries are not authorized to certify true copies of birth, death, marriage certificates, or true copies of court-issued documents.

RIGHT TO REFUSE NOTARIZATION

A Virginia notary may refuse to notarize a document for any reason.

ACCEPTING CASH AT APPOINTMENTS

Virginia law prohibits Notaries from accepting monies at closings unless the Notary is CRESPA certified and holds an escrow license.  AndNotary is not CRESPA certified and does not hold an escrow license.

TERMS & CONDITIONS | REFUND POLICY

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment for a refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment time are non-refundable.
